Believing I had exhausted local restaurants to enjoy in my Sunnyside neighborhood, far from Manhattan, I was delighted to find SoleLuna, a two-year-old restaurant on Queens Boulevard. It took over a diner I had rarely visited except when desperate for the greasy-spoon favorites like burgers-pepsi-and-fries. Or, better, their Irish breakfasts. Anyway, sporting a new name and terrific Italian food, it remains friendly, simple, and affordable for a “borough guy” like me. Here’s a peek at what was enjoyed.
