A Stir The Pots Post

Dinner in Oberwil

by | Sep 2, 2012 | Food, Vacation

Traveling Europe on vacation, visiting my sister in Switzerland, she asked  if I’d make a special dinner at her friends uber modern kitchen. Pure “white” modern, so I could mess it up, she joked. She asked for a simple menu; pasta hand rolled pici  though with trapanese pasta.

I ended up giving an impromptu lesson on pasta, kitchen organization and scolded my sister’s knife skills, she said I was a mean chef. Before making dinner I was at a swimming pool with the kids, then bang into pots and pans! We ended with fantastic zabaglione with trauben,(concord grapes) and cream, with grappa to finish off.
